Ketamine research: (here is info about only 1 article)
At higher doses, ketamine increases the sense of disconnection between the mind and the body. Users feel as if they are looking down at themselves from some higher place. These so-called "out-of-body experiences"
JanetK: Thanks, it seems clear that they are talking about real 'out-of-body' experiences.

Very interesting. I was thinking that when we are not conscious (or we are sleeping) we do not have idea where we are standing either. And it reminded me of when you go dancing and the lights flashes and you have the mirror ball rolling, that also gives you that kind of I am not where I am sensation, and also it distort your sensation of movement, you do not percive motion as a continuous.
There is also a drug that can cause you this out of body sensation when you experiment with it it is called ketamina, they could experiment what happen when you take it.

JanetK: Thanks for the suggested area to look into - I'll be looking for good descriptions. I think (not sure) that ketamina is slightly different in that you do not experience looking at your body from some other view point but it does give similar experiences of not being associated with your body. By the way it is illegal in most places.
